Covid Safety Practices

By signing below, I affirm that I understand and agree to these policies:

  • Nebraska Wesleyan University requires all on campus to wear a mask properly over their nose and mouth in all public spaces indoors and when in proximity to others outdoors, except while eating or drinking. The NWU mask requirement includes wearing masks during athletic activity or competition.
  • Participants should be mindful of Covid safety in the two weeks prior to participation in their camp or program at NWU and adhere to mask and social distancing best practices as much as possible. Adherence to mask and social distancing best practices may exceed local guidelines in your community.
  • Participants must provide the NWU camp or program leader with a pre-camp symptom survey for the week prior to the start of their camp or program at NWU.
  • Participants must adhere to all Covid safety practices during the duration of the camp or program at NWU.
  • Participants must notify the NWU camp or program leader and refrain from camp participation if they develop COVID symptoms or if they enter quarantine or during the camp or program. If a participant is restricted from participation by COVID symptoms or by quarantine or isolation, they should contact the program leader to discuss a prorated refund.
  • Participants should self-monitor for the development of any COVID symptoms in the week (7 days) after participation in my camp or program at NWU and notify the NWU Student Life Office (studentlife@nebrwesleyan.edu) for contact tracing purposes if they receive a positive COVID test result, or if they are diagnosed as presumed positive through symptoms, within one week (7 days) of their camp or program at NWU.
  • Participants understand that the policies listed above are intended to mitigate but do not eliminate the risk of infectious disease transmission that is inherent in group activities, and participants affirm that they voluntarily undertake that risk.
  • As local health conditions change, NWU may need to modify procedures and activities in consultation with county or city officials.
