President’s Office

Welcome to Nebraska Wesleyan University!

I am both honored and humbled to serve as the 17th president of Nebraska Wesleyan. This university has a long tradition of changing lives through academic excellence, impactful experiences, and highly impressive outcomes. I promise to uphold that tradition while infusing my positivity and energy into this community.

As a champion of diversity, equity and inclusion, I will continue to support the essential work to make Nebraska Wesleyan a welcoming community for everyone. As we prepare our students for the diverse world they are entering, we need to continue to do all that we can to create a learning environment with diverse opinions and perspectives.

All colleges and universities educate, but Nebraska Wesleyan provides a more holistic environment that goes beyond classroom learning. Personalized mentoring and interconnected relationships permeate the entire student experience in the residence halls, student organizations, the dining hall, rehearsals and practices. The students’ relationships with the dedicated faculty are not simply confined to the discussions on course content nor are their interactions with our outstanding staff limited to some kind of contractual exchange. We know each other by name, we get to know each other’s hometowns, interests and activities. This is a community that does more than provide a challenging and rich education to 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students. It’s a nurturing environment that transforms lives.

To our prospective students and families, you will get a sense of our community throughout this website, but I encourage you to experience its true essence with a campus visit.

To our alumni, your outcomes are the ultimate measure of Nebraska Wesleyan’s worth. Whether you have stayed close or ventured far, please know you are always welcome to come “home” to this place that changed your life. We would love to see you or hear from you.

Sincerely,
Darrin Good
