Nebraska Wesleyan University has made the difficult decision to postpone commencement scheduled for May 9, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision follows the guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts to significantly limit gatherings to 10 or fewer people for the next eight weeks, effective March 16.
Commencement is an important day in the life of the university and for our students and their families. Commencement is also important to the faculty and staff who have had the honor to teach and mentor these students and ultimately celebrate their NWU degree.
The university is considering ways to honor this year's graduates but no decision has been made at this time.
