Restroom and Shower Information

Pioneer Hall has communal bathrooms and showers on every floor. There is a single-person, all-gender restroom/shower on the first floor. Pioneer Hall residents also have access to a single-person restroom/shower in the basement of Johnson Hall. Nebraska Wesleyan University encourages students, staff, faculty and guests to use the restroom that matches their gender identity.

Room Furnishings

Rooms are furnished with the basics including blinds, mattresses with fire and bedbug resistant lining, loftable bedframes, closet, desk chairs, movable desks and movable dressers. Mattresses are the standard 36” inch wide and are over 80” in length. Pioneer Hall residents may rent MicroChill units directly through College Products. Pioneer Hall has carpeting in student rooms.

ADA Accessibility

Pioneer Hall is currently accessible by wheelchair through the east entrance and there are several wheelchair accessible rooms for students to live in throughout the building. Pioneer Hall has an elevator.

Emergency Meeting Locations

Anytime the fire alarm sounds, students are required to swiftly and safely exit their building. Pioneer Hall residents should meet in the grassy area outside of Pioneer’s east entrance towards Lot 9. In the event of a tornado warning, residents are required to swiftly and safely move to shelter in the basement kitchen/lounge areas or in the tunnel between Johnson Hall and Pioneer Hall.
