Netherlands, Germany, Spain with Dr. Pat Pettit
May 11 to May 26, 2024
We will travel May 11-May 26, 2024, spending time in Amsterdam, Cologne, Barcelona and Sitges. Highlights of the program include guided city tours and museums in each city. In Germany we will visit the Cologne Cathedral, German chocolate museum, tour the German Olympic and Sport museum, take a Hill of Montijuic Cable Care ride, and visit La Boqueria Market; In the Netherlands we will see Amsterdam by boat through its canals, visit the Dutch countryside and windmills, take a tour of the Anne Frank house, and a guided bicycle tour of Amsterdam. In Spain, our city tour will be via hop on/hop off bus; we’ll see camp Nou Stadium, visit Park Guell, the Barcelona Olympic and Sports museum, and take the Montserrat monastery tour. The course can be taken for zero credits or for two credits. If you take the course for two credits, it will satisfy your experiential learning-intensive requirement in the archway curriculum. The estimated cost is $5,208. The fee includes all flights, ground transportation, accommodations, all scheduled academic and activities, and 14 meals.

- First deposit of $300 is due by 5 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2023.
- Refund of $150 is available through January 25.
- Second deposit of $1,500 is due by 5 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024.
- No refunds.
- Dr. Pettit will purchase plane tickets at this time.
- Dr. Pettit will make reservations and submit deposits.
- Final deposit of approximately $3,500 is due by 5 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024.
- Students are responsible for purchasing their public transport tickets in Amsterdam, Cologne and Madrid. Budget $60.
