Crouse and Shroeder honored with Wyman Award

When Bill and Tami Wyman retired in the spring of 2019, NWU alumni and friends came together to establish an endowment in their honor. Bill and Tami asked that the endowment go to establish two annual awards: one award to be presented to a custodian, grounds or maintenance employee and the other to be presented to an administrative assistant.

Gilman Scholarship takes NWU junior to Japan

Sa'javeane Wright was selected as a recipient of a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad.

Wright, a business and modern languages-Japanese major, will study Japanese at Nazan University in Nagoya, Japan for the next nine months. She is among nearly 3,000 undergraduate students from across the U.S. selected for the 2022 scholarship.

Nebraska Wesleyan awarded IDEAS Grant to build study abroad capacity

Nebraska Wesleyan was selected to receive funding support from the U.S. Department of State’s Increase and Diversify Education Abroad for U.S. Students (IDEAS) Program. NWU is one of 44 colleges and universities across the United States that will use the IDEAS grants to create, expand, and/or diversify American student mobility overseas in support of U.S. foreign policy goals.

Graduate student overcomes significant challenges to achieve degree

Danielle (Reab) Bayer is this year’s recipient of the Kenneth R. Holder Award. This award honors the legacy of Dr. Kenneth R. Holder who served as an NWU faculty member and subsequently as provost from 1972 until his death in 1991. The award is given each year to a graduating student who has overcome significant challenges in achieving their degree.
