NWU-wireless and NWU-wireless24 service interruption

NWU-wireless and NWU-wireless24 service interruption

Published

At about 6:10pm today we became aware of a problem with the NWU-wireless and NWU-wireless24 networks which caused a service interruption.  The problem was caused by the failure of our Radius authentication server which controls access to these two secure networks.  The underlying problem with the authentication server was addressed and the server returned to duty at about 8:30pm this evening.  As a result, normal service on the NWU-wireless and NWU-wireless24 networks should now be restored.

If you had been having problems connecting to either of the NWU-wireless or NWU-wireless24 networks earlier, please try your connections once more now.  It ought not to be generally necessary to rerun the process to configure your device for these networks, but should you experience a problem connecting with a device which had been previously please try temporarily joining the NWU-guest network and going to http://nwuwifi.nebrwesleyan.edu to re-configure your Windows, MacOS or iOS device.  If you continue to experience problems getting connected, please contact the CSIT Office in Smith-Curtis 121  (x2341) during normal business hours (8:00am – 5:00pm) or enter a help request through Footprints at https://footprints.nebrwesleyan.edu .

Thank you and our apologies for the inconvenience.
