Prairie Wolves Basketball Team to Gain Experience in Estonia

The Nebraska Wesleyan University men’s basketball team will embark on its first international tour.

The team leaves August 10 for a 10-day trip to Estonia where they will play three games against Rakvere Tarvas, Tartu Rock, and BC Paru.

Grant Provides Extended Hours, Staffing at Cooper Center

Nebraska Wesleyan University's Cooper Center for Academic Achievement has received a $51,600 grant that will provide for extended hours, additional staffing, and new instruction.

The Cooper Center Foundation of Lincoln honored former trustee and Nebraska Wesleyan University president John W. White with a grant in his memory. White died on April 18.

Psychology professor Jerry Bockoven admits his “History and Systems” class may sound a little boring to students.

In fact, Bockoven calls it “death on a cracker boring” and encourages his students to get up and walk around the classroom if they start to feel sleepy during the three-hour course.

Recording Preserves Voice of Nebraska State Poet William Kloefkorn

William Kloefkorn died on May 19, 2011. Kloefkorn taught English at Nebraska Wesleyan University for 40 years and served as Nebraska state poet for 29. In that time, the depth of his voice, kindness and poetry touched thousands of people.
