Tina Marie Hurd, she/her

Tina Is currently an MSW student at Nebraska Wesleyan University and is expected to graduate in May 2024. She graduated from NWU with a Bachelors Degree in Social Work in 2020. Tina also holds an Associates Degree in Human Services. In 2015 Tina relocated to Nebraska from California. There she worked at the Los Angeles County of Education as a Paraeducator for almost 10 year. She worked with at risk students and individuals with disabilities. She strived in assisting all students in their academic and social settings, helping them be successful to the best of their abilities. 

Upon relocating to Lincoln, Tina has dedicated herself in obtaining her life long goal in becoming a certified social worker. She is currently working towards becoming an independent license mental health therapist. Through continued educating and practicum training, Tina has strengthened and gained skills that she will use to assist and support those in her community. Tina aspires to provide a space for everyone to feel welcomed, included, valued, and celebrated. 

On her free time Tina enjoys attending concerts, sporting events, camping, reading and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy is giving extra love to her grandchildren.
