Huge Society

Every student who receives a Huge-NWU Scholarship becomes part of the Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Chapter of the Huge Society, which prepares future leaders with an appreciation for cultural diversity across national borders, through active stewardship and community building.

Fall Huge Society Induction Ceremony

Each year, an alumnus and former Huge Scholar serves as a keynote speaker. Alumni serve as a professional network for current Huge Scholars. Family members are invited to attend the induction of new Huge Scholars into this prestigious Society.

Spring Estonian Independence Day Celebration (February 24)

Harry Huge played an integral part in securing Estonia’s independence from the Soviets. Today, NWU enjoys a sister-school relationship with the University of Tartu. Huge Society and NWU mark Independence Day with a cake as well as faculty and student speakers who have studied in Estonia or been involved in Estonia-related projects. Estonians studying at NWU are also invited to attend.

Service Project

The Huge Society plans service projects that reflect the mission of the organization and build community within the Society.

Officers

Huge Society elects officers in April for one-year terms beginning the following academic year. The president-elect assumes the presidency upon completion of the president’s one-year term.

Officers include a president, president-elect, secretary and treasurer.
