This exhibit will showcase the motives, pressures and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s.

Americans and the Holocaust will be on display at Nebraska Wesleyan’s Cochrane-Woods Library, along with a series of related special events, from October 6 to November 17.

Americans and the Holocaust: A Traveling Exhibition for Libraries is an educational initiative of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the American Library Association. Additional programming support was made possible, in part, by Humanities Nebraska and Nebraska Cultural Endowment.

Celebrate Homecoming Weekend on campus with Nebraska Wesleyan University's choirs and band in NWU's first-ever collaborative music showcase concert.  Alumni from the University choir will join current choir students in the choir's signature benediction, "Silent Night". The grand finale of the concert will be Aaron Copland's "The Promise of Living," conducted by Janet Song Kim in her debut performance as Director of Instrumental Activities at NWU. 

During the performance, Outstanding Music Alumni Award recipient Kanoa Greene (’01) and Outstanding Young Music Alumni Award recipient Kaitlin Beck (’16) will be recognized.

Nebraska Wesleyan University is one of 50 U.S. libraries to host Americans and the Holocaust, a traveling exhibition from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. This exhibit will showcase the motives, pressures and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s.

Americans and the Holocaust will be on display at Nebraska Wesleyan’s Cochrane-Woods Library, along with a series of related special events, from October 6 to November 17.
