Cooper Foundation Center for Academic Resources
The Cooper Center provides assistance with studies at all stages of a student’s academic career. The Cooper Center assists its clients with writing and speaking projects and study skills. It’s equipped with the computer, video, and print resources necessary to help NWU students across disciplines.
The Cooper Center is staffed by faculty and trained student consultants selected for their outstanding work. They are eager to help clients improve academic performance. Our student consultants have had many of the same classes you’re taking now. So, often, they can speak from direct experience about a professor’s expectations and preferences.
The Cooper Center also houses Supplemental Instruction (SI), an academic assistance program that increases student performance and retention. The SI program targets traditionally difficult academic subjects—those that have a high rate of D or F grades and withdrawals—and provides regularly scheduled, out-of-class, peer facilitated sessions.
The Cooper Center is housed in room 317 of Cochrane-Woods Library.
