SERVICE ALERT: Urgent firewall security maintenance scheduled

CSIT has scheduled an urgent maintenance window for tonight (Tuesday, March 21, 2023) beginning at 11:00pm. We expect the maintenance to be completed by 11:10pm. The scheduled maintenance operation is the installation of a security related update to the campus firewall, recommended as a critical update by the manufacturer.
Once the updated software has been installed, we will need to reboot the firewall load the new software into production. It will take about 10 minutes for the reboot process to complete. During that time, all Internet service – both inbound and outbound – will be interrupted. Internet service will be restore automatically once the reboot is complete.
