CSIT has scheduled a maintenance operation on the main production VMware cluster for Thursday, 6/16.  The maintenance window will begin at about 8:00am and continue until completed sometime during the late morning.

During the maintenance operation we will be upgrading the core network switches which support all data communication within the VMware cluster, as well as between the VMware cluster and the rest of the campus network.  The switch upgrade addresses an ongoing issue related to the management of the communication between the VMware console and other cluster components.

We do not anticipate any service outage during this maintenance operation, though some redundant servers may be temporarily brought down to shorten the maintenance time. We are making the campus aware of the operation out of an abundance of caution.
