The Lincoln Community Foundation is pleased to announce they have updated their scholarship guidelines and application materials for spring 2025 scholarship awards!

You may find information about their available scholarships by visiting their website at https://lcf.academicworks.com/

The Lincoln Community Foundation administers more than 90 different scholarship funds--many of which are for students who live outside of Lincoln/Lancaster County!  We encourage all Nebraska students to visit the link to research their eligibility.  Over $650,000 will be awarded in 2026.

Using the link above, students will click Sign Up to create a Blackbaud User ID account by supplying their email address as their username and a password.  If they accessed the system in previous years, they may simply Sign In with their username and password. Once logged in, applicants will have access to the online general application form. A current transcript and their Student Aid Index from their FAFSA submission summary are required.

Based on information provided in the submitted general application, students are automatically matched to scholarships for which they are fully eligible. Students will see these “auto-matched” scholarships on their account's “My Applications” tab.

There are also scholarships which require additional information beyond the general application. After the general application is submitted, additional scholarships can be seen on the student’s “Recommended Opportunities” tab.  Applicants should read the information and criteria carefully to determine eligibility.  "Recommended" does not necessarily mean that you are eligible.  To apply, students must click on the individual “Apply” buttons and will need to answer a few additional, brief questions.  These questions might include reference requests, brief essays, or other documentation.  References will automatically receive a link to complete a reference form directly within the system.  It is important to note that the deadline for references is the same as that of the application.  It is also very important to apply well enough ahead of the deadline to allow references to respond!   After submitting, these applications will also appear on the “My Applications” tab.
