Junior Achievement program takes place in a child's classroom, during which volunteers present one of JA's proven financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship programs to a K-12 classroom on a weekly basis, coordinating the schedule with the teacher. Volunteers and teachers work together to mutually arrange the required number of sessions, taking into account the classroom schedule and volunteer's work schedule.

Job description

Training:

1 hour, scheduled at your convenience

Prep Time:

30-60 minutes prior to each visit to the classroom

Volunteer Time:

30-45 minutes, Monday-Friday OR once-a-week, for 5 weeks – Elementary

45 minutes, generally once-a-week, for 6 weeks – Middle

45 minutes, generally once-a-week, for 7 weeks- High School

There are classrooms available NOW in grades K-12 during any month that is convenient for your schedule.  Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you.
