Woman’s Wesleyan Educational Council
The Woman’s Wesleyan Educational Council (WWEC), founded on April 24, 1896, at the call of Chancellor Crook, with 21 charter members, is a statewide organization composed of Local Chapters, Members at Large, and Nebraska Wesleyan Representatives. Its purpose is to interest women of Nebraska and friends of the Council in promoting the advancement of Nebraska Wesleyan University and in providing scholarships for NWU students.
Membership

Endowment/Scholarship Fund
Donations to the endowment/scholarship fund of WWEC should be made payable to Nebraska Wesleyan University. On the memo line write: WWEC Endowment Fund. Please mail to NWU Advancement Office, 5000 St. Paul Avenue, Lincoln, NE 68504. The Advancement Office will provide you with a donation receipt to use as a deduction on your income taxes.
Interest from this fund provides for the annual scholarships given in the name of WWEC at Nebraska Wesleyan University. The director of scholarships and financial aid at NWU selects the scholarship recipients. $14,700 in scholarships was awarded last year and the life total is $351,007 and growing.

- Lincoln Chapter – Meets at the Fourth Presbyterian Church at 5200 Francis Street, Lincoln on the fourth Wednesday (with exceptions) in August through May (except November) at noon for a luncheon and program.
