TADA Productions, Inc. and the Lincoln Choral Artists are collaborating once again to bring one of the most beloved musical theatre productions to stage, "South Pacific."
A fully-staged extravaganza featuring veteran actors and singers plus the 60-member group of Lincoln Choral Artists will delight audiences on Friday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 13 at 2 p.m. in O'Donnell Auditorium, located at 50th Street and Huntington Ave.
Set on a tropical island during World War II, the musical tells the sweeping romantic story of two couples and how their happiness is threatened by the realities of war and by their own prejudices. The production will include NWU students Gavin Rasmussen in the role of Lieutenant Joe Cable and Robert Lighthall as Billis. William Wyman, director of choral activities at NWU, directs the Lincoln Choral Artists.
The production is also a homecoming for its directors, Robert ('90) and Cris ('88) Rook, who first met while students at Nebraska Wesleyan 27 years ago when both were cast in the university's production of "South Pacific."
