NWU Wireless Network Access
Getting Started
Nebraska Wesleyan University provides Wi-Fi across campus for students, faculty, staff, and guests to connect to our network. Wi-Fi connectivity is broken out into three different networks to accommodate different use cases.
eduroam
Eduroam (education roaming) is a unified Wi-Fi network name and authentication that allows roaming between different educational institutions using their home institutions credentials. Eduroam is the primary Wi-Fi network for NWU students, faculty, staff, and visitors from other institutions using eduroam. Connecting to Eduroam.
Southeast Community College Residents
Southeast Community College (SCC) students residing on campus can connect to eduroam using their SCC credentials. For directions on connecting to eduroam, please see SCC's Connecting to Wi-Fi at SCC instructions. Please note that you must use your @southeast.edu e-mail address and not your @my.southeast.edu alias.
nwu-connect
Faculty and staff bringing external users to campus who cannot connect to eduroam can request a guest login to connect to the wireless network. After the request is processed, you will receive a guest username and password via e-mail. Request Guest Wi-Fi Credentials.
nwu-iot
Internet of Things (IoT) devices include smart televisions, game consoles, streaming devices, and other devices that only connect to a network with a password and not a username. Students, faculty, and staff can register their devices to connect to this network. Registration must be done while on campus. Register an IoT Device.
Southeast Community College Residents
For SCC students looking to connect their IoT devices, please submit a request by e-mailing support [at] nebrwesleyan.edu (support[at]nebrwesleyan[dot]edu) that includes the following information:
- Your name
- You e-mail address (credentials will be sent to this address)
- Device make and model
- Device MAC Address
