Transfer to NWU

Admission requirements

Nebraska Wesleyan University uses a broad, comprehensive process to review and select applicants. We examine the rigor of the college you attended and the difficulty level of the classes you took.

• Must be in good standing at your current college or university.
• Must have at least a 2.00 GPA.
• After acceptance, the NWU Registrar will determine how your credits will transfer.
• Please see Transfer Admitted Student for additional transfer enrollment details.

Steps to enrollment

• Apply online free
• Request your official final high school transcript and official transcripts from all colleges attended. NWU recommends ordering electronic transcripts when available. Select Nebraska Wesleyan University as the recipient. We cannot accept student-provided transcripts.
• Complete the Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), entering in the college release and certification section the full name of Nebraska Wesleyan University and College Code 002555.

Undergraduate credit is granted from regionally-accredited two- and four-year institutions for courses with a grade of “C-” or above. NWU accepts a maximum of 94 semester credit hours from all regionally-accredited institutions. NWU accepts a maximum of 64 semester credit hours from regionally-accredited two-year institutions. Transfer classes with grades of “C-” or above are evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
