Theatre Facilities
Excellent theatre facilities make it possible for Nebraska Wesleyan University to offer a diverse selection of opportunities for students to perform and learn.
McDonald Theatre
McDonald Theatre in the Elder Memorial Theatre Center is home to NWU Theatre’s main stage performances. The large venue gives students the opportunity not only to act, but also to perfect skills in sound and lighting design. Students build sets for main stage performances immediately behind the McDonald stage. Elder Memorial Theatre Center is located at 51st and Huntington Ave. Free parking is available in lots at 50th and Huntington.
Miller Theatre
Miller Theatre in the Elder Memorial Theatre Center is the university’s premier laboratory theatre space. This highly adaptable space can be catered to a wide variety of small performance formats. Miller Theatre is home to the university’s popular spring and fall One-Act Festivals featuring student-directed performances. Elder Memorial Theatre Center is located at 51st and Huntington Ave. Free parking is available in lots at 50th and Huntington.
Studio Theatre
The Studio Theatre at 2710 N. 48th St. is NWU’s newest rehearsal and performance space. The facility gives NWU Theatre a strong presence on Lincoln’s bustling North 48th Street and is an excellent space for small and experimental theatre performances. Free parking is available behind the building.
