Student Symposium: Celebrating Research and Creative Endeavor

On this page:

Welcome to the Nebraska Wesleyan Student Symposium 2026! We look forward to celebrating student accomplishments on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Traditional undergraduate daytime classes will be cancelled on April 29 so that our campus community can participate in this premier academic event recognizing student experiences and achievements.

We look forward to students presenting papers, posters, projects, live performances, artistic exhibitions, and studio talks. This year, we also welcome student presentations on internships and student teaching. We will present awards and have performances at a reception in Great Hall at noon.

We are also excited to combine the day with the NWU Pitch Final at 5:00 p.m. and cap the day with a student film festival that evening!

This year's schedule can be viewed at Student Symposium 2026.

Last but not least, prizes will be given for presentations in the following categories:

  • Applied Research Award
  • Human Experience Award
  • Most Creative Award
  • Social Impact Award

Check social media on Thursday, April 30 for the 2026 award winners!

Research Symposium

At the end of each academic year, students have an opportunity to present their research or art projects at this all-day event. Classes are cancelled so that students, faculty and staff can listen and learn from the efforts that students worked on all year.
