Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Future Business Leaders of America chapter will send 17 national qualifiers to next month’s FBLA National Leadership Conference in Las Vegas.
NWU’s 17 qualifiers came out of a successful weekend at the Nebraska Collegiate FBLA State Leadership Conference in Kearney, where more than half of the Prairie Wolves who competed qualified for the national conference by placing in the top four of their events.
Nebraska Wesleyan finished with four event champions: Kyle Finney, Mira Comstock, and Paige Comstock in Accounting Case Study; Conor Willeke in Finance Case Competition; Tavian Willsea in Foundations of Hospitality Management; and Mady Schoffstall in Management Case Competition.
In addition, Samee Kaus was named Advisor of the Year in her first year leading NWU’s FBLA program.
Other NWU students finishing in the top four of their competitions and qualifying for the national leadership conference are below. The national conference is scheduled for June 6-8.

Two NWU students among top 100 Northwestern Mutual interns nationally
Jason Salas and Luke White, both business students at Nebraska Wesleyan, recently placed among the top 100 Northwestern Mutual College Financial Representatives across the nation and earned a trip to Northwestern Mutual's Top CFR Academy in Tucson, Ariz. Of the 100 interns nationwide who earned a trip to Tucson, nine came from Nebraska.
