BSN Application Process

Students will be admitted once per year with an August program start date.
Admission requirements
Admission to the NWU Nursing Program is a competitive process and is based on pre-requisite GPA, overall college GPA, and responses to the admission questions/video. This is a selective process that admits a select number of students per year. Here are the specific requirements:
- Completion of pre-requisite courses with grade of “C” or better (those are defined on the course plan with a *)
- Cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or above
- CPR certification for health care providers
- Successful completion of a Certified Nurse Aid course and listed on the state registry
- Submission of a video response to the admission questions
- Background check, immunization record, drug screen, health history form
- Documentation of vehicle insurance and driver’s license
Applications will be accepted from Nov. 1 through Feb. 1.
Priority Status Students (high school GPA of 3.5 or greater)
- Complete the nursing program application for priority status admission.
- Once the nursing program application is completed, a nursing faculty member will contact you about next steps.
Current NWU Students
- Complete the nursing program application to be considered for the nursing program.
- A member of the nursing faculty will contact you about next steps.
New NWU Students (Traditional and transfer students)
- Submit your NWU student application.
- After you are accepted to NWU, complete the nursing program application.
- A member of the nursing faculty will contact you about next steps.
