Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Elder Gallery will feature the exhibit, “Restraint and Limitation,” October 23 through December 9.
The exhibit explores trends in contemporary abstract painting via three accomplished women including Anna Buckner of Indiana, Sharon Butler of Connecticut and Gianna Commito of Ohio. Their work, combined with other artists with Nebraska connections, will showcase varying stages of their careers.
The exhibition was curated by Matthew Ballou, associate teaching professor in the Department of Art at the University of Missouri.
Elder Gallery is located in the Rogers Center for Fine Arts on the Nebraska Wesleyan University campus. Admission is free.
