Nebraska Wesleyan University shares a relentless commitment to our students. We call it the Wesleyan Advantage. And it stands on these five simple pillars.
NWU delivers one-on-one academic advising from professors who know you in class and understand your goals. Our flexible, scaffolded Archway Curriculum also gives you multiple routes to meet graduation requirements.
These personal connections and adaptable approaches make it easier to stay on schedule, even when you add experiences or change course.
Researchers with the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) studied the types of undergraduate experiences that correlate with career success after graduation. They identified 12 “high-impact practices” that regularly deliver the strongest professional benefit.
Many schools have just a few of these practices. Nebraska Wesleyan University offers 10. From your first Archway Seminar, to collaborative projects, research, and study abroad opportunities, your NWU experience will touch on multiple proven high-impact practices that bring your education alive—and deliver results throughout your career.
We believe in the value of global experiences. And we’re committed to providing options for study abroad that are comparable to your cost of attendance at NWU in Lincoln.
For example, you can take your NWU financial aid package with you when you study at any of Nebraska Wesleyan’s sister schools in Estonia, Germany, Japan, Mexico, or the U.K.
The thing that truly sets Nebraska Wesleyan University apart from other schools is our staff and faculty’s relentless commitment to your success. That commitment shows across our campus culture. You see it in our highly accessible professors, tireless coaches, compassionate counselors, visionary directors, and kind academic support staff.
Mentors come in all shapes and sizes at NWU. And our students have a lot of great advocates in their corner.
NWU’s new (and free) Loan Repayment Assistance Program gives the assurance of a real safety net for everyone who uses student loans. NWU’s LRAP works like this.
Simply opt into this no-cost program. Then, once you graduate from Nebraska Wesleyan and work at least 30 hours per week on average, you become eligible for loan repayment assistance until your earnings surpass $60K per year.
It provides valuable peace of mind that your Nebraska Wesleyan experience will be worth the investment.
The Wesleyan Advantage isn’t a fake guarantee. It isn’t a gimmick.
It’s a reflection of our campus culture—an expression of our commitment to you and your goals for a full life.
