Elder Gallery

Located ground level of the Rogers Center for Fine Art, Elder Gallery is Nebraska Wesleyan University’s principal exhibition space. Hosting several shows each year, the gallery features invitational and juried selections from local, regional and international artists. Each spring, the gallery hosts capstone exhibitions for graduating seniors.

Elder Gallery hours are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1–4 p.m., or by appointment. Contact Terry Ratzlaff at tratzlaf [at] nebrwesleyan.edu (tratzlaf[at]nebrwesleyan[dot]edu).

Elder Gallery is located inside the Rogers Center for Fine Arts, 5040 Huntington Ave., Lincoln, NE 68504.

The Archive

The Archive is an experimental exhibition space in the first-floor hallway and on the second floor of Lucas Hall (Room 210). It features student work, collaborative thematic exhibitions for art history courses, work by high school students from partner institutions, and professional work by visiting artists.

Elder Gallery: Dorothy Antoinette LaSelle Exhibit 2025

One of Nebraska Wesleyan University’s most celebrated alumni artists is featured this fall in a major exhibition at Elder Gallery in NWU’s Rogers Center for Fine Arts.

“Dorothy Antoinette LaSelle: Space Movements” opens September 5 and runs through December 14.

Elder Gallery: Bri Murphy Exhibit 2024

Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Elder Gallery will open for the next academic year with the exhibit Dear Helia.

Artist Bri Murphy will present new work that explores themes of gender, childhood and legacy in the context of an American political landscape.

"Come On, Come Over" is an invitational exhibition highlighting Elder Gallery as a nexus for artists in Lincoln and beyond. The philosophy of the gallery gives artists the ability to present the exhibition they envision.

Elder Gallery: Benjamin Rasmussen Exhibit 2023

Nebraska Wesleyan's Elder Gallery will showcase the work of photographer Benjamin Rasmussen in the exhibition, The Good Citizen. This exhibit asks the questions, "Who was freely invited into this space and who wasn’t? In what ways are the ripples of our past seen in our present? How can we engage more honestly with our history?"
