Dr. Pendley began teaching at Nebraska Wesleyan University in the fall of 2022. Prior to starting at Nebraska Wesleyan University, Dr. Pendley was Social Work Lead at Omaha Public Schools and was a part time instructor at University of Nebraska at Omaha in the graduate social work department. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Nebraska and has served in a variety of social work roles including child welfare, medical social work, school social work, addiction and mental health treatment, and Drug Court.

Dr. Pendley’s practice and research interests include poverty prevention and interventions, social work leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, addiction, school-based mental health, and higher education in prison.
