Megan Kobs

Megan Kobs came to Nebraska Wesleyan University in the fall of 2018 and serves as an assistant athletic trainer. She is the primary athletic trainer for the women’s soccer team, men’s and women’s cross country teams, men’s and women’s swimming teams, and men’s and women’s track and field teams.

Kobs, along with the NWU Sports Medicine staff, was recognized in the fall of 2021 with the University's CORE Award. The Sports Medicine staff was honored for upholding the core vaules of the institution and going above and beyond the call of duty to keep student-athletes and coaches healthy and safety a top priority during the COVID-19 global health pandemic.

Kobs received a Masters of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Sciences with an Exercise Science Specialization in 2017 from South Dakota State University while serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Jackrabbit swimming and diving program. Prior to joining the NWU Sports Medicine Staff, she served for a year as an intern athletic trainer for Missouri State University’s softball team.  

Kobs graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training. Kobs, formerly Cottier, was a four-year letterwinner as a pitcher on the NWU softball team. A native of Fremont, Neb., Kobs currently resides in Gretna with her husband Dru and daughter.
