The Norden Club of Lincoln Foundation established this scholarship/grant to financially assist people who wish to study and learn more about Scandinavia. Award recipients can use the money for travel, study, or otherwise enhance their knowledge and experience of one or more of the following Scandinavian countries:  Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

Eligibility

Applicants should live within a 100-mile radius of Lincoln, NE, and plan to travel, study, or otherwise enhance their knowledge and experience of one or more of the following Scandinavian countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and/or Sweden.

To apply

Fill out the Norden Club of Lincoln Foundation’s application form as it applies to you and attach a letter of 250-300 letter describing what you want to study and how it aligns with the foundation's goals. Students should also attach their university transcript showing their course and grades. The application, letter and transcript must be sent to lennelson59 [at] gmail.com (lennelson59[at]gmail[dot]com).

Award recipients will be notified by phone and will be required to attend one Norden Club of Lincoln Foundation dinner meeting to share their educational project experience.
