Jennifer Ziegler has been named the inaugural Dean of Graduate Programs at Nebraska Wesleyan University.

Ziegler has served more than a decade at Valparaiso University, serving the last four years as Dean of the Graduate School and Continuing Education. As dean, she was responsible for the strategic leadership, coordination, and guidance of the school and its programs, faculty, and staff.

At Valparaiso, she helped launch and grow the digital media and sports media master of science programs in the communication department, where she served as chair from 2011 to 2012. She provided crucial strategic oversight in the evaluation of existing continuing education programs and in the creation of innovative programs aligned with Valparaiso’s mission.

Ziegler's role as inaugural Dean of Graduate Programs is a critical part of Nebraska Wesleyan's restructuring and is of key importance to growing the university's adult student population. She will report to the Provost and oversee all existing graduate programs as well as the development of new programs.

She will begin her work at NWU on September 17th.
