Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Theatre Department continues its celebration of playwright William Shakespeare with the latest production, “Mrs. Shakespeare.”

“Mrs. Shakespeare” follows the aftermath of William Shakespeare's death. His widow, Anne Hathaway is left with a revealing document, claiming she is the true author of her husband’s plays. Performed as a comedy, the production features a series of flashbacks, revealing Shakespeare's and Hathaway's marriage to be as every bit as conflicted as that of his (or her) characters.

Performances will be held April 7-9 and April 14-16 at 7:30 p.m. with matinee performances at 2 p.m. on April 10 and April 17. All shows will be held in Miller Theatre, located at 51st Street and Huntington Avenue. Admission is $10 for adults and $7.50 for senior citizens and students. Tickets can be purchased online or reserve them by calling the box office at 402.465.2384.

Nebraska Wesleyan is marking the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death with an entire season of shows written and inspired by the Bard.
