Two Nebraska Wesleyan University students received top honors in research at the annual Nebraska Undergraduate Sociological Symposium.

Seniors Michelle Zhang of Lincoln and Hannah Hopson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, each received first place honors in the category of original research.

The annual conference — which was held Nov. 10-11 at Creighton University in Omaha — features undergraduate students who present papers based on their original research. Awards are presented for best papers in two categories: library and reposition source research and original research.

Nebraska Wesleyan University will hold the 2012 Nebraska Undergraduate Sociological Symposium.
