NWU Theatre Stages Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet"

One of William Shakespeare’s most popular plays will take the stage at Nebraska Wesleyan University.

“Romeo and Juliet” will be performed September 15-17 and September 22-24 at 7:30 p.m. with matinee performances on September 18 and September 25 at 2 p.m. All shows will be held in McDonald Theatre, located at 51st Street and Huntington Ave.

“Romeo and Juliet” is a tragedy about two star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. The play will be performed true to the original Shakespearean script with traditional period costumes. Alexander MacAlpine, a senior from Ord, Neb. has been cast as Romeo; Brooke Bosworth, a senior from Olathe, Kan. has been cast as Juliet.

Admission is $10 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased at theatre.nebrwesleyan.edu or at the box office at 402.465.2384.
