U.S. News & World Report, Washington Monthly, Princeton Review and Niche recently announced their 2022 college rankings. Nebraska Wesleyan University was ranked as a top regional university, best value and best in academics.

U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report named Nebraska Wesleyan University a top regional university, best value and best in undergraduate teaching regional university. 

NWU is the highest ranked Nebraska college and university named to the Best Regional Universities Midwest category. The report ranks higher education intuitions on a variety of indicators including student outcomes such as rates of graduation and retention, assessment by academic peers, faculty resources, overall financial resources, ACT/SAT scores, high school class standing, and alumni giving.

U.S. News & World Report compares nearly 1,400 colleges and universities in the country. NWU was ranked 24 among 157 schools in the regional category, which includes schools that provide a full range of undergraduate majors and master’s degree programs. 

The report named NWU to its list of Best Value – Regional Universities Midwest, which factors academic quality and cost after accounting for total expenses and financial aid. NWU was also named the Best Undergraduate Teaching – Regional Universities Midwest and was the highest ranked Nebraska college and university in this category. Washington Monthly

Washington Monthly ranked Nebraska Wesleyan as a best Master’s University. To make the ranking, universities must award master’s degrees but few or no doctoral degrees. NWU was ranked 49 of 616 schools and the best university in Nebraska. Washington Monthly ranks four-year schools based upon their contributions to social mobility, research and providing opportunities for public service.

Princeton review

Earlier this fall, the Princeton Review named Nebraska Wesleyan University to its list of Best Colleges in the Midwestern region. This list included colleges in 12 states including Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin. 

Niche

On August 16, Niche released its 2022 Best Colleges rankings. NWU ranked as the Best Small College in Nebraska and second among private colleges.

Rankings are based on analysis of academic, admissions, financial and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with reviews from students and alumni. Niche also recognized NWU as the third best college in Nebraska and No. 2 best value college, among other recognitions for student life and academic programs. Learn more.
