Nebraska Wesleyan University seniors Amy Christensen and Connor Bohlken have been crowned the 2015 homecoming queen and king.

The coronation was held Thursday evening during the university’s homecoming pep rally.

Christensen is from Mitchell, Neb., and is studying special education and elementary education. At NWU she is active in Willard Sorority and served as Panhellenic Council president. She is a member of the University Choir and is a student ambassador, providing tours to prospective high school students. She is the daughter of Roger and Mary Christensen.

Bohlken is from Syracuse, Neb., and is studying math and physics. He is president of Theta Chi Fraternity, Senior Class Council and Math Club and competes in cross country and track for the Prairie Wolves. He is the son of Jay Bohlken and Abbie Widger.

Other members of the homecoming court are:

  • Ella Donley of Lincoln, daughter of Ellen Donley. She is a chemistry major and was nominated by Delta Zeta Sorority.
  • Claire Holmquist of Lincoln, daughter of Jay and Julie Holmquist. She is a biology major and was nominated by the Interfraternity Council.
  • Jacie Zoerb of Ravenna, daughter of Dale and Linda Zoerb. Jacie is a psychology major and was nominated by Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity.
  • Brett Hall of Midlothian, Texas, son of Tim and Pat Hall. He is a communication major and was nominated by International Justice Mission, the Wesleyan Communication Association and Campus Crusade.
  • Kody Oltman of North Platte, son of Kevin and Kim Oltman. He is an accounting major and was nominated by Panhellenic Council.
  • Alessandro Schirano of Taranto, Italy, son of Cosimo Schirano and Cinzia Fischetti. He is a communication major and was nominated by Lambda Pi Eta Honorary (Omicron Chapter).
