Ninety-eight percent of the inmates currently incarcerated in Nebraska’s 10 prisons will be released and returned to our communities and neighborhoods.

How are inmates prepared to become contributing members of society after release so they can live moral, ethical and legal lives once released from prison?

Rev. Ruth Karlsson, Executive Director of Released and Restored, addressed the topic at Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Swan Lecture on Thursday, January 31. The lecture was titled, "After Prison — Then What?"

The 50-minute lecture can be seen in its entirety on the NWU website.

The Swan Lecture brings to campus scholars who emphasize the importance of the teaching of Jesus to our present and future civilization.
