The 2013 homecoming king and queen candidates have been announced. The king and queen will be crowned at Howl Like Hell on Thursday, September 19.

Queen candidates are:

  • Kelsey Arends of Lincoln, political science and Spanish major, marketing and psychology minor, nominated by Global Service Learning.
  • Halie Gribble of Chambers, health and fitness studies major, nominated by Health & Human Performance Club.
  • Ali Stajduhar of Highlands Ranch, Colo., communication studies major, marketing and business administration minor, nominated by Wesleyan Entertainment Board.
  • Shelby Travis of Albion, biology major, chemistry minor, nominated by Tri Beta Biology Honorary.


King candidates are:

  • Paul Hubert of Geneva, business administration major, psychology minor, nominated by Zeta Psi Fraternity.
  • Cody Miller of Tecumseh, exercise science major, biology and chemistry minor, nominated by Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity.
  • Ross Mumford of Elmwood, elementary education major, music minor, nominated by Mu Phi Epsilon Music Honorary.
  • Keaton Schweitzer of Milford, psychology major, marketing and human resources and management minor, nominated by Willard Sorority.

NWU undergraduates will vote for king and queen on Monday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 17. Students will receive a voting ballot via email. 

The king and queen will preside over homecoming activities throughout the weekend and will be introduced during halftime of Saturday's homecoming football game.
