Campus Memorial Service Planned for NWU Grad Nick Lee

A campus memorial service will be held Thursday, September 8 for recent NWU graduate Nick Lee.

The service will begin at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, located at 50th Street and St. Paul Ave. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall.

Nick died Thursday, August 25 as a result of a car accident near Stella, Neb.

As a student at Nebraska Wesleyan University, Nick was actively involved in the Wesleyan Alumni and Student Association (WASA), Wesleyan Entertainment Board (WEB), the International Relations Organization (IRO) and the intramurals program. He was also a member of Zeta Psi Fraternity. He most recently was completing an internship in Nebraska Wesleyan's Alumni Office helping plan homecoming activities. Nick also recently completed an internship with the Nebraska Sports Council where he was responsible for planning the 2011 Cornhusker State Games Torch Run. He majored in sports management and was considering a career in facility management.

The family has asked that donations be directed to two organizations: Nebraska Wesleyan University Nick Lee Memorial Fund, Attention: Jackie Rezac, 5000 St. Paul Ave., Lincoln, Neb. 68504. Memorials made to the NWU fund will go to the International Relations Organization. Memorials can also be directed to the Animal Rescue Alliance, PO Box 520798, Independence, Mo. 64052.
