Background

Dr. Corner has been the Director of Counseling Services at Nebraska Wesleyan University since 2015.  Prior to this position, she was a clinical psychologist at an outpatient hospital and worked as a Staff Psychologist and Training Coordinator at Wichita State University.  She has been a licensed psychologist since 2005.  Dr. Corner's clinical interests include anxiety disorders, OCD, relationship concerns, empowerment, sleep concerns, suicide prevention, and clinical supervision.  In her clinical work, she aims to understand the intersecting identities of each student and how these identities and other contextual factors shape their lives.  Dr. Corner incorporates person-centered, strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, feminist-multicultural, and solution-focused approaches in her work with students.  In her free time, she enjoys soccer, traveling, playing trivia, and keeping up with her active family.
