Academic Interests

Nebraska Wesleyan encourages you to explore a wide range of academic areas before you declare a major. You may, however, already have in mind some general area(s) of academic interest.

If you are very sure about your first choice and considering other academic options, skip to the next section. If your plans are more open, please enter additional choices.

Modern Languages

All students are required to demonstrate proficiency in modern language. You will receive a separate email with instructions on completing a placement exam. Students who complete fours year of modern language in high school with either B or better in every term or A in all terms of the fourth year have met the proficiency requirement but may continue to study modern language at Nebraska Wesleyan. If you plan on taking a modern language while at Nebraska Wesleyan, check the language(s) in which you are interested.

In keeping with our core value of a liberal arts education, all students at NWU take a wide range of classes across different disciplines. In which of these areas might you be interested in taking a course during your first semester? Check all that apply.

Courses involve participation in creative writing, visual arts, or performing arts.
