The mission of Catholic Social Services is to bring relief to those suffering material, emotional, and spiritual need. Provides support for refugee and homeless families as well as emergency services for needy members of our community. A licensed child placement agency. Provides information on parenting and adoption, cost-adoption counseling, independent home studies for adoption, and free pregnancy counseling to young women or parents.

Participate in the BAT program. Basic Aid Training which is taught to all LPS fourth graders each fall. Requires a one hour orientation. Certified First Aid and CPR persons needed to staff events in Lincoln. Disaster Action Team Member: Be on call per a rotating schedule to respond to local disasters (family fires); training provided. Flexible on-call scheduling Disaster Relief Operations (requires 3 hour orientation and a commitment of being on call at least 4 times a month for the school year.) Assist at larger local and national disasters where emergency shelters are set up in community facilities. Shelter operations, feeding, damage assessment, gathering and moving supplies. Office support and data entry, assist with Red Cross displays at special events in the community and possibly other opportunities depending on the time of year.
