Nebraska Wesleyan's Music Department performs a main-stage opera each year. This year's production will include two short operas, "Miss Havisham's Wedding Night" and "Gallantry."

NWU to Perform Operas "Miss Havisham's Wedding Night" and "Gallantry"

Stories of a jilted bride’s wedding night and a soap opera parody will be told on the O’Donnell Auditorium stage when Nebraska Wesleyan performs two operas, “Miss Havisham’s Wedding Night” and “Gallantry.”

The operas will be performed Friday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 9 at 3 p.m. in O’Donnell Auditorium, located at 50th Street and Huntington Ave.

Trumpeter Extraordinaire Bijon Watson to Perform at NWU

Bijon Watson, the lead trumpet for the Grammy-nominated Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, will perform at Nebraska Wesleyan University on Sunday, September 25.

Watson’s performance is part of the annual homecoming Pops Concert with Nebraska Wesleyan’s Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble. The free concert begins at 5:30 p.m. in O’Donnell Auditorium, 50th Street and Huntington Ave.
