Our facilities crews are busy all year. But they’re at their busiest right now—wrapping up significant summer projects all over campus. Your student will benefit from some serious upgrades when they arrive in August.

One major change is the removal of our previous science building, Olin Hall, which was replaced by the Acklie Hall of Science. During the spring semester, we will open a new greenspace where Olin once stood. It will be an inviting place where students can relax and socialize outdoors with friends.

We’re also in Act II of our Elder Theatre Center renovations. These enhancements will improve our learning, teaching and performing environments in theatre. Elder Theatre Center will feature an updated lobby to match the previous renovation of McDonald Theatre.

Student Affairs Senate (SAS), NWU’s student government body, invested in some enhancements in Story Student Center for organization meetings, studying and relaxing.

SAS also funded a replacement of the outdoor basketball courts near Plainsman Hall, as well as new nets and repainted lines on the tennis court for pickleball, which is growing in popularity on-campus.

All these projects add up to a physical campus where your student can be at their very best. We can’t wait to show you around in August!
