The emotions that surround coming to Nebraska Wesleyan University aren’t limited to excitement. There can also be anxiety over dozens of questions like, “How will I make friends?” “Where will my classes meet?” and “How does the dining hall work?”

Prairie Wolves Welcome is designed to answer those anxious questions. It runs from Wednesday, August 18 through Sunday, August 22. All students are required to attend, whether they’re living on or off campus.

We encourage all students to take off work and reschedule any appointments over Prairie Wolves Welcome. All required activities take place between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., which allows students to continue participating in athletics, the performing arts or other interests.

Prairie Wolves Welcome is about helping students establish a sense of campus community. That sense of belonging is a significant factor in student success. Your student will participate in intentionally designed activities to help them make connections that matter, not only with one another, but with returning students, faculty and staff. They’ll also meet as a class for the first time on Friday, August 20 with their Archway Seminar.

We’ll share the full schedule for Prairie Wolves Welcome in mid-July. If you have questions about Prairie Wolves Welcome, you can contact us at involvement [at] nebrwesleyan.edu.
