Understanding NWU’s Quarantine Protocols

Protecting public health and ensuring our ability to hold in-person classes require that we do everything we can to decrease the spread of COVID-19.

Nebraska Wesleyan University has developed quarantine protocols to protect students and the public. We want you and your student to understand why these protocols exist and how to follow them when asked.

Two kinds of quarantine

NWU has developed two types of quarantine in response to different levels of exposure. We call them “big Q” and “little q” quarantines.

Opportunities to Connect

Connecting to new people and spaces can be a challenge during any transition, let alone in a transition during a pandemic. For some students, it takes a little extra coaching to make the first step, but often the following steps are easier. As you visit with your students, remind them that true connections take time, effort and often require us to step outside of our comfort zone. Now is the time to try something new!

Prairie Wolves Bookstore Partners with Barnes & Noble College

Nebraska Wesleyan University has entered a new partnership with Barnes & Noble College, which will now manage the Prairie Wolves Bookstore. The bookstore will continue to provide an extensive offering of academic and retail materials for the campus community. These offerings include an assortment of affordable learning materials, including new, used and digital books. The bookstore also offers textbook rental and price-matching programs.

Stay Informed This School Year

Keeping our students well informed is an important component to their success at Nebraska Wesleyan University.

The university sends all official communication to students’ NWU email address. We expect students to check email frequently to stay current with university-related communications, recognizing that certain communication may be time-critical.
