Across the U.S., one-third of college students experience food insecurity. Struggling with hunger affects students’ mental and physical well-being, making it harder to concentrate in class, achieve academic success and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

The Prairie Wolf Pantry is an on-campus resource for students, faculty and staff providing access to pantry items and fresh produce, as well as hygiene supplies. Our volunteers staff the pantry Monday through Friday, ensuring that all students can access this resource.

The pantry’s usage has grown each semester since it opened in 2019. Last spring, the pantry logged 572 visits.

Members of the NWU community graciously support the pantry through donations of money, items and time. Our student coordinator shops every week to stock the pantry. Learn more about the pantry and how to donate by visiting the Prairie Wolf Pantry.

Prairie Wolf Pantry hours:
Monday: noon-1 p.m., 5-6 p.m.
Tuesday: noon-1 p.m.
Wednesday: noon-1 p.m.
Thursday: noon-1 p.m., 5-6 p.m.
Friday: noon-1 p.m.

The Prairie Wolf Pantry offers more than food; it offers a sense of community and support for all Prairie Wolves. Stop by and check us out!
