When the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department asked for volunteers to help provide COVID -19 vaccinations for area college students, our students and nursing faculty answered the call.

Over a dozen students and staff helped administer the first of two shots at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Coliseum to UNL, Doane and NWU students on April 20.

"It was one tiny thing we could do to help stop the pandemic," said Charlotte Liggett, chair, department of nursing.
