Background

Courtney was born and raised in Lincoln and only recently returned after spending the last 20 years in Chicago as a professional dancer and instructor.  She graduated from Oklahoma City University with a BPA in dance and upon moving to Chicago became a member of jazz concert company the Joel Hall Dancers where she remained as a senior dancer for ten years. She also danced with fusion company Instruments of Movement and was a feature dancer in numerous Chicago-area theatre productions as a member of Actors Equity Association.  She moved on to be rehearsal director and ballet mistress for youth and pre-professional companies as well as a professional dance/theatre company.  She taught musical theatre dance technique, styles, conditioning and choreography for over ten years at Columbia College Chicago and Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts.  Courtney is currently working on her Masters of Science in Academic Advising.
