Supporting Students of color in the sciences

The world’s problems are diverse. The scientists working to solve them must be, too.

That’s why Nebraska Wesleyan University joined the Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (IINSPIRE LSAMP)—a Midwest STEM partnership for innovation in research and education.

Our goal is to see more underrepresented students graduate in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). We do this by building students’ identities as STEM scholars, fostering a supportive community and providing more opportunities for STEM achievement
